Special Notice
Each page on "Portrait of an Angel" contains the following disclaimer:
*Portrait Of An Angel Web site*
All poems, photos and stories, unless
otherwise noted, are copyrighted © by Terri Onorato and cannot be reprinted
or reproduced. The fact that the poems, photos and stories are distributed via the Internet
does not release them from their creator's copyright privilege.
Further information on
copyrights can be found on our disclaimer
page.

I would say this is pretty self-explanatory but it's becoming
increasingly obvious that our disclaimer is not being read and understood in the manner it is intended.
Our disclaimer is not just a page of empty
words about copyrights. It has meaning and is important in protecting the words of my Bridgekids. Every single
poem and story the Bridgekids send me is typed out and mailed, along with a check, to the U.S. Copyright Office for
official copyright acknowledgement.
To violate this copyright is infringement and a serious offense.
What you read on our web site are messages from not only my Bridgekids but other Bridgekids as well. I didn't
didn't make all this up, the messages are sent to me in various divine ways. The reason? Messages from the
Bridgekids, sent from their place in Heaven, are meant to offer comfort to grieving hearts.
These messages from the
Bridgekids are meant to be shared, not stolen.
Putting any material on the Internet can be risky in that it
can be easily taken and used in any number of ways. I knew this when I started our web site.
Call me naive but I truly didn't believe anyone would be so callous as to disrespect the
Bridgekids by taking their material without giving credit where credit is due. Sadly this has happened far
too often.
So here's the scoop... we will no longer be granting
permission for reposting, reprinting or reproduction of any poems, stories or other original works from
"Portrait of an Angel". Should this problem continue I will have no other alternative but to
pull the entire site off the Internet. I would much rather live with the pain and consequence of removing
the site than to have the Bridgekids treated with such blatant disrespect.
Thank you,
Terri Onorato
