Angel Moms On Earth is a group of caring individuals whose desire and purpose is to offer love, laughter and joy to a child in need. Founded on love and compassion, AMOE was started with the hope of bringing a sense of self-worth and happiness to children who are in circumstances beyond their control and have little to look forward to in their lives. AMOE also recognizes the need to help the parents and/or guardians of these children, to aid in removing some of the burden for things they cannot afford for their child. AMOE's first and foremost priority is the children and all Angel Moms fervently strive to protect these little ones by following the guidelines and rules of AMOE in conjunction with the wishes of the children's parents and/or guardian.
AMOE will extend a hand and heart to a child in need regardless of race, religion or any other such label. What I find so amazing about the founder Cathy is that she started AMOE on a wing, a prayer and one solitary email. With her dedication, faith and love AMOE became a reality in September of 1998 and incredibly it runs without funding. There are no dues or membership fees required to join, the only requirements to become an Angel Mom On Earth are love and a big heart. AMOE exists entirely on the love and compassion of Cathy and her Angel Moms. To date Cathy and AMOE have placed over 260 children with Angel Moms. This is a monumental feat and one that occurred out of the love in Cathy's heart.
Being a child in this day and age is difficult enough especially if one's self-worth is being questioned. AMOE works hard to make sure each and every child knows how much they are loved, wanted and appreciated. It takes an angel on earth to bring this kind of message to the children and their families. Cathy is one such earth angel and this is why you see the word "love" associated with Cathy and her Angel Moms in so many ways. To be able to give back to a world that has given me so much is a privilege and it's my hope, as it is the hope of all Angel Moms, that there will come a day when not one child is left in need.
